&
welcome back to campus for the 2022-23 school year!
Sleepy Hollow is a public school which prides itself on a long tradition of excellence in education. Unfortunately, the funding our students receive from the State of California is not sufficient to sustain the high level of education and opportunity that parents expect of Sleepy Hollow. Parents sustain a major portion of educational services through financial support and volunteer efforts.
The primary goal of the Sleepy Hollow Parents' Club (SHPC) is to provide critical funding for school programming, staff, and instructional support. In fact, over 70% of our annual donations directly funds our teachers & staff salaries. See below for important information on why your contribution matters.
We sincerely THANK YOU in advance for your continued support of the SHPC and the Sleepy Hollow School Community. Together we can and will continue excellence in education for all SH students.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Sleepy Hollow Elementary students have enjoyed an enhanced curriculum and an exceptional education for over 68 years and this is mainly thanks to YOU and the continued support of the community.
The Orinda Union School District relies on substantial local support. In fact, in the 2022-23 school year, nearly one fourth of the OUSD budget will come from local revenue. This equates to over $7.7m! This revenue bridges the gap between government funding and the actual cost to provide a student with the exceptional education we want for our children. This cost differential is funded through the local parcel tax, parent donations, and community donations, which is why we are asking you to donate today to help support your child’s education.
LET’S CONTINUE THE EXCEPTIONAL EDUCATION OF OUR SLEEPY HOLLOW STUDENTS!
ONE (Orinda Network for Education) unites the Parents’ Clubs of all Orinda schools to maximize fundraising efforts, share expertise, and leverage resources. The ONE organization is structured such that the Sleepy Hollow Parents’ Club maintains control over its budget and local decision-making. Your donation to ONE - Sleepy Hollow directly supports Sleepy Hollow School.
Each parent donation helps to bridge a significant part of the gap between state funding to the district and the actual amount of money it costs to educate each child this 2022-2023 academic year paying for teachers, instructional resources, and programs specific to Sleepy Hollow School.
Our goal is 100% participation in fundraising from all Sleepy Hollow families! Every contribution is greatly appreciated and very needed so please consider making a donation today that is meaningful to you.
