Sleepy Hollow is a public school that prides itself on a long tradition of excellence in education.  Unfortunately, the funding our school district receives from the State of California is not sufficient to sustain the high level of education and opportunity that families expect at Sleepy Hollow. This is because Orinda Union School District (OUSD) is one of the lowest out of 1100 school districts in state funding. 

It takes over $15,000 to educate each elementary student in the district, but the state only gives OUSD approximately $9,000 per child.* Parent and family donations help to bridge the gap between state funding received by OUSD and the actual amount of money it costs to educate each student by paying for programming, staff, and resources specific to Sleepy Hollow.

Orinda Network for Education (ONE) strengthens, streamlines and amplifies the collective fundraising efforts of all Parents' Clubs in Orinda.  ONE is structured to allow all schools - including Sleepy Hollow - to maintain local budget control and decision making based on each school's needs. Your donations to ONE-SLEEPY HOLLOW directly support Sleepy Hollow School (and helps to fund smaller class sizes, STEAM labs, technology, arts and music programs, and more)!

Our ONE-SLEEPY HOLLOW ask this year is $2,200 per student to provide the expected in-class experience that Sleepy Hollow is known for. Our goal is 100% participation in fundraising from all Sleepy Hollow families. We appreciate your contribution at whatever level feels right for your family. Every donation helps!
